nope, neither did the old guys if anyone is wondering about challenge etc!

the gladiators get paid for their time away and also per show they appear in, any PA's [which their agent and sky take a significant sum and also they have tax to pay on top of all that] and also i think any merchandise that is related to their individual name - but the merchandise is next to nothing.

^ Terrible! They could've raked in a fortune with repeat fees from Sky. :( Oh well!

Being a Glad doesn't pay, then. :(

well it does obviously and for the 5/6 weeks each of them is away for it it isn't potentially a bad job, but yeah i know what you mean.

^ that must have been really bad for Enigma then, if she couldn't do anything for however long she was injured and she didn't get repeat fees for the times they repeated any of it :(

Why do you say that? Enigma's injury (despite lasting a long time as we know from her interview and also the DVD) only put her out of the 2 semi-finals and final. She then went on to take part in the Celebrity special, Armed Forces and the Legends Return shows. I would imagine that they all got paid contractually for a set period of time regardless of injury, so she wouldn't have got any less money. She's also in the same boat as all other 12 Glads not getting any repeat fees.

...As for the DVD I really enjoyed it. I always like to see more of the Gladiators being interviewed etc, something which they really need to intergrate more into the actual shows. Was a shame that it only included a handful of Glads and even more strange in my opinion is the non-inclusion of Tempest and Tornado ?!?! The DVD has really whet my apetite for the new series now! :)

I never really took into account that they might be paid on contract, needless to say I'm not very clued-up in the tv industry :)

I think I'll have to wait until christmas to get my copy of the DVD, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait though :D

i just finished watching the DVD and i brought a tear to my eye, my mum will be proud that i got some good air time on it and it was lovely to see what all the glads had to say.

i hadent watched the ledgens so i almost puked at their poor costumes, wolf looked really bad in dimonds! god i hope i look as fit as lightening when i am her age, her 6 pack was fab!!!

yes i missed tempest, as one of my fav glad and also one of the three most talented females it was a shame not to see much of her, i hope they arnt dropping those not featured? phill???

i loved it i cant wait to show my baby when he/she gros up!

nooo they can't drop tempest!

i think she's quite safe, for the reasons she's like you say very talented and also imo one of the most popular glads - she has everything a gladiator needs to be pretty much, so no i don't think she'll be dropped. 8-)

having seen the glads compeet and in training tempest was very good at all the events and to me that makes a great glad. battel axe and panther were also very good at all events, thes were the glads the female contenders were worried about.

i hope panther stays undefeated at dule so that it doesnt make us look bad, i still have neck problems from that.lol
